Verifying Your Sending Domain

Last updated Apr 25, 2026

Domains must be verified before campaigns can send from them. Verification is what authenticates the email so it lands in inboxes instead of spam folders. Without it, deliverability collapses.

Adding a domain

Go to Domains in the sidebar. Enter the domain name (e.g. yourdomain.com) and click Add Domain. The platform generates DNS records to add at the DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).

The DNS records

You will see four records total:

  • 3× CNAME records — for Return Path and DKIM authentication
  • 1× TXT record — for ownership verification

Each record shows the type, the host/name to enter, and the value. Use the copy buttons next to each value to avoid typos. Add all four records exactly as shown at your DNS provider.

Verifying

After the records are saved at the DNS provider, return to the Domains page and click Verify DNS. The platform checks each record. Four status indicators should turn green:

  • DKIM
  • Return Path
  • Ownership
  • Authenticated

DNS propagation can take 5 minutes to a few hours depending on the provider. If verification fails, double-check the records were saved without extra dots, quotes, or whitespace, then try again.

Sender settings

Once verified, click Edit Sender on the domain card to set:

  • From Name — what shows in the inbox (e.g. "Acme Newsletters")
  • From Email — must use the verified domain (e.g. hello@yourdomain.com)
  • Reply-To Email — where replies land (can be a different address)

These become available as sender options when creating campaigns. Multiple verified domains can be added per account, and each can have its own sender settings.

Removing a domain

Click the trash icon on any domain card to remove it. Existing campaigns sent from that domain still keep their analytics, but you cannot send new ones from a removed domain until it is re-verified.
