Creating and Sending Campaigns

Campaigns are individual emails sent to a list of contacts. Newsletters, product announcements, promotions — all of those are campaigns.

Creating a campaign

Click New Campaign on the Campaigns page. The system requires at least one contact list and one verified domain before letting a campaign be created. Enter the campaign name and subject line, select a list, and click Create.

The campaign editor

The editor has these fields:

  • Campaign Name — internal name (recipients don't see this)
  • Subject Line — what shows in the inbox
  • Preview Text — the snippet that shows after the subject in inbox previews
  • Sender — dropdown showing only verified domains and their senders
  • Send to List — dropdown of all lists
  • Email content — the body editor

Choosing a template

Click Choose Template above the content area. A modal shows all available templates — pre-built and custom ones. Click any to load its HTML into the editor. You can also write or paste your own HTML directly.

Merge tags

Use these in the subject line and email body to personalize each email per contact:

  • {{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, {{full_name}}
  • {{email}}, {{company}}, {{city}}
  • {{date}}, {{year}}
  • {{unsubscribe_url}} — required, generates the unsubscribe link

Always include {{unsubscribe_url}} somewhere in the email. The platform also adds a List-Unsubscribe header automatically for one-click unsubscribe in Gmail and other clients.

Sending a test

Click Send Test. It pre-fills the logged-in user's email. The system saves the draft first, then sends a test copy. Use this before every real send to check formatting on desktop and mobile.

Checking spam score

Click Check Spam Score before sending. The analyzer checks:

  • Subject line for spam trigger words
  • Content for missing unsubscribe links and other issues
  • Technical factors like using a free email provider as the sender

Each category gets a score from 0–100. Aim for 80+ across all categories.

Scheduling

Click Schedule to pick a date and time. The campaign sends automatically at that time even if no one is logged in.

Sending now

Click Send Now. The system validates that a sender is selected, a list is selected, and content exists. A confirmation dialog appears, then the campaign sends and you're redirected to the campaigns list.

After sending

View results by clicking the 3-dot menu on any sent campaign and selecting View Analytics. The dashboard also lets you click any campaign row directly.
