How does call forwarding work?
When someone calls the business number, it routes the call to whatever personal phone number the client set as their forwarding number. Their personal phone rings normally — the caller only sees the business number.
Can clients change their forwarding number?
Yes, anytime from the Phone Manager page. Changes take effect immediately.
What happens when a call goes to voicemail?
The caller hears an AI-generated greeting (customizable text, male or female voice). They can leave a message up to 2 minutes. The voicemail is saved and playable from the Phone Manager.
What is included in the 500 minutes?
Inbound call forwarding minutes. Each minute a call is connected to the forwarding number counts. Voicemail recording time also counts. Most small businesses use well under 500 minutes per month.
What happens if they exceed 500 minutes?
Currently calls continue to work. You can monitor usage and upsell additional numbers for heavy users.
Can a client have multiple phone numbers?
Yes. Each number is a separate service with its own forwarding, voicemail, business hours, and call log. The Phone Manager supports switching between numbers.
Do toll-free numbers work the same as local?
Yes, identical features. Toll-free numbers (800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877, 888) just have no area-code association and are free for callers to dial.
Can clients make outbound calls?
Yes. The Phone Manager has a dial pad. It calls the clients forwarding phone first, then connects them to the recipient. The recipient sees the business number as caller ID.
What countries are supported?
US, Canada, UK, and Australia phone numbers are available. The search shows all available area codes by country.
Can clients block spam callers?
Yes. The Blocked Numbers page lets them enter phone numbers to block. Blocked callers hear a disconnected tone.
What happens when the service is cancelled?
The phone number is released back to the carrier. The client loses the number permanently. Make sure clients understand this before cancelling.
Is there a setup fee?
No. The number is provisioned instantly at the monthly/quarterly/biannual/annual rate you set.
