Client Setup: Profile and WordPress Plugin

Last updated Oct 25, 2026

The Setup Checklist

The client's dashboard opens with a short checklist: add the website and business details, connect the WordPress site, choose how posts get published, add keywords to track, and review the first post. Each open item has a button that takes them to the right place.

Business Profile

  1. Add the website, the Google listing, or both. Both are optional, but at least one is needed to auto-fill. For the Google Business Profile, paste a Google Maps link or type the business name and pick it from the suggestions.
  2. Click Auto-fill business details. The website gives the description, services, areas and call to action with its link; the Google listing gives the exact name, phone and address. If only the listing is given, its website is found and read too. No website or listing? Click Fill in myself.
  3. Check the details and click Save Changes. Nothing is saved until then. Posts only use facts from this profile, so the more accurate it is, the better the posts. Saving plans the first month of posts.

Connecting WordPress

  1. Open Connect Website and download the plugin. It is made for that client's account.
  2. In WordPress go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose the file and click Install, then Activate.
  3. That is it. The plugin connects itself; there are no keys to copy and no app to authorize. The dashboard shows Connected. If it ever disconnects, the plugin's settings page has a Reconnect now button.

The plugin writes page titles and descriptions into Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress or All in One SEO when one is installed, so nothing conflicts.

Websites Hosted With You

If the client's website is on your Web Hosting or AI Website Builder, Connect Website lists it under Your Websites With Us. One click installs and activates the plugin and checks the connection. An empty hosting site gets an Install WordPress button: we install WordPress, connect it and email the client their WordPress login. A site with other content, or a domain that is not pointed to the hosting yet, gets an Open cPanel button instead, so nothing is ever overwritten. The same card has buttons to get a new AI Website Builder site or Web Hosting from your store.

Publishing

In Publishing the client chooses Wait for my approval or automatic publishing, the blog category for posts, and which emails they want. With approval on, each post is ready to review 3 days before its date and the client gets an email.

Not on WordPress?

Rankings, website health checks, broken-link scans and the monthly report work for any website. Publishing posts and page fixes needs the WordPress plugin.
