Activating Social Media Automation for a Client
The activation flow is plug-and-play — you handle the client relationship, the platform handles the technology and hosting. From order to client login takes about 60 seconds.
Activation steps
- Open the marketplace section of your panel and select Social Media Automation
- Pick a billing cycle — Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual, or Annual
- Enter the client's email address
- Confirm — wholesale is deducted from your wallet
- The system instantly provisions an isolated, private dashboard for the client
- The client receives a branded welcome email with login credentials and tutorial links
What the client's welcome email contains
- Login URL (under your brand if you've set up a custom domain, otherwise
yourbrand.appserviceportal.com) - Their auto-generated username (their email)
- A temporary password they'll change on first login
- Quick links to "How to connect your first social account" and other onboarding tutorials
First-login experience
When the client logs in for the first time, they see:
- A welcome dashboard with key metrics (will be empty until they connect accounts and start posting)
- A prompt to connect their first social media account
- Sidebar navigation to AI Publishing, Bulk Posts, RSS Schedules, AI Contents, Search Media, Files, Teams, Watermark, Groups, and Proxies
Connecting social accounts
The client connects each social platform via OAuth — they click "Connect Instagram" (or similar), are redirected to that platform to authorize, then bounced back. Most platforms require:
- Logging into the platform account
- Reviewing and approving permissions (post on behalf, read profile, etc.)
- For Instagram and Facebook — must be a Business or Creator account, not Personal
If the connection fails, common causes are: account is private and needs to be public, account is a personal Instagram (not Business), 2FA is blocking the OAuth flow, or the cookies/session in the browser are confused (try incognito).
Recurring revenue mechanics
- The wholesale fee renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle, deducted from your wallet
- Your client's payment to you is separate — you handle that through Stripe Connect or manual payment
- If a client cancels, you suspend their service in your panel; the wholesale stops deducting
- If your wallet runs dry, all clients' services suspend simultaneously — set up Auto Top-Up
Reseller tips
- Activate one for yourself first. You'll answer 80% of client questions just from having used the product personally.
- Send a 3-step "getting started" email after activation — connect your first account, schedule your first post, set up an AI campaign. Higher activation = higher retention.
- Offer "managed" services on top — you charge $99/month for the platform plus another $200/month for "we run your social for you." Stack the margin.
