Client Setup: Train, Customize and Install
Your client sets everything up themselves at /receptionist on your store. A five-step checklist on their Dashboard tracks progress.
- Knowledge: they paste their website address and click Train. It reads the homepage and up to 19 important pages (services, prices, FAQ, contact) in about a minute. They add Business Facts for anything missing or wrong; facts always win over website text and survive retraining. They can also write instructions (tone, what to recommend, what to avoid) and four starter questions.
- Appearance: business name, receptionist name, welcome message, brand color, button position, an optional bubble next to the button, a photo or logo, and when to ask for contact details. A "Powered by" line with your store name is on by default; the client can hide it.
- Test: the exact chat visitors see, inside the dashboard.
- Install: one line of code pasted into the site footer. Step-by-step guides cover WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and others. Businesses without a website use their shareable chat link in Google Business Profile, Instagram or email signatures. The dashboard shows "Live on yourdomain.com" once the chat is detected on their site.
- Allowed websites (optional): restrict the chat to their own domains so nobody can copy the code onto another site.
