Configuring a Web Design Order

Last updated Apr 25, 2026

The activation form is a brief — a structured way to capture everything our designers need. Filling it carefully prevents back-and-forth emails and gets the build started faster.

1. Selecting topics for the website

Topics are sections of the website. Pick what the client needs — every additional topic is added to the build cost.

TopicCostUse when…
Home (required)+$50Main landing — every site has this

Testimonials / Reviews+$50Client has happy customers willing to give a quote
Portfolio+$75Designers, photographers, agencies, contractors
Gallery+$50Visual showcase — restaurants, venues, retail
Additional Topics+$200Custom sections beyond the standard list

2. Customizing the color scheme

  • Primary Color — header, footer, dominant brand surface
  • Secondary Color — buttons, highlights, accents
  • Font Color — header fonts and link styling

If the client doesn't have a brand palette, ask for two or three competitor websites they like and we'll work from those.

3. Adding custom functionality

  • E-Commerce — adds an online store (WooCommerce). Includes product pages, cart, checkout, basic payment integration.
  • Other Custom Features [+$200] — booking systems, custom forms, payment integrations beyond Stripe, member-only areas, etc. Describe what you need; we'll quote any extra time before starting.

4. Uploading brand assets

  1. Logo (optional but strongly recommended) — PNG with transparent background works best
  2. Reference websites (optional) — competitor or aspirational sites the client likes. We use these for design inspiration, not direct copying.

5. Content and hosting

  • Content — provide URLs to existing copy, product images, etc. If the client has nothing written, leave the field blank — we'll write placeholder content based on their industry.
  • Hosting — provide cPanel or hosting login. If the client doesn't have hosting, activate Web Hosting through the platform first; the credentials carry over.

6. Communication and contact

Provide the email and phone you want our team to use during the build. Include the client's contact info too if you want them looped in directly. Most resellers prefer the team to communicate with them only — keeping the white-label intact — and the reseller relays updates to the client.
