Tap Orders: Styles, Setup & Commission

Last updated Jul 28, 2026

Styles

Eight styles, all the same price within a pack — the customer picks one style per order:

  • Wide Stand — White / Black
  • Slim Stand — White / Black
  • Round Pod — White / Black
  • Flat Card — White / Black

Want a mix? Place separate orders — each order is one style.

Fulfillment & Tracking

Orders ship free directly to the customer's door and typically arrive within 1–2 weeks. You can follow the order on your Services page — the card shows the order number, current status (Preparing Shipment → Shipped → Delivered), and the tracking number once it ships. Your customer gets the same updates by email under your store's branding.

Customer Setup (Self-Service, ~2 Minutes)

Taps arrive unprogrammed. The buyer links each tap to their Google review page themselves: copy their review link (the “Ask for reviews” button in Google Business Profile, or the Write-a-review URL from their Maps listing), install the free NFC Tools app, choose Write → Add a record → URL, paste the link, and hold the phone to the tap. The full step-by-step guide (with testing and an optional tag-lock step) is in your storefront's Docs under Physical Products → Review Tap Stands — the shipping email points customers there too. Tags can be rewritten unlimited times unless the buyer locks them.

Commission & Refunds

Your commission ($8 / $15 / $40) transfers to your connected Stripe account automatically 30 days after delivery — the standard return window. If an order is refunded before release, the pending commission simply never releases; you owe nothing.

Common Buyer Questions

Which phones can tap? Every modern iPhone and any Android with NFC enabled. Older phones without NFC can't tap — staff can share the review link directly instead.

Do I have to program anything as the seller? No. The buyer does the guided 2-minute setup; your storefront docs walk them through it.

Is there a subscription? No. One-time purchase, unlimited taps, forever.

Do they need Wi-Fi or power? No. The tap is passive — the customer's phone does everything.

What if the business moves or renames its Google listing? They just rewrite the tap with the new review link in NFC Tools — unless they used the optional permanent lock.

Is it allowed by Google? Asking customers for reviews is fine. What Google prohibits is offering incentives for reviews or review-gating (only asking happy customers via a filter) — the stand does neither; it just makes a normal ask effortless.
